Service description:
Max Glatt Unit provides a safe environment for the treatment of people and families who are affected by the misuse of drugs or alcohol. We provide 24 hour nursing and medical cover.
Who is the service for?
The service is for people over 18 years old who are willing to be admitted for treatment of problem with drug or alcohol use.
What does the service provide?
The Unit has 19 beds and we provide assessment, stabilising or detoxification from prescribed or street drugs. We have a group programme based on health education and relapse prevention. We offer 7 -28 day admissions, dependent on the individual as identified at assessment.
We are happy to offer advice and support to relatives friends and partners of people under our care. The Max Glatt Unit is a 24-hour in-patient service.
Referrals
Referrals to the Max Glatt Unit can be made by the local community alcohol or drug service.
