Service description:
The Wolverton Gardens Alcohol Team provides a range of specialist health care interventions for individuals and their families who are affected by the misuse of alcohol within the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham.
The service assesses alcohol problems, provides treatment and helps clients to access other appropriate support and services. In order to provide integrated care, the Wolverton Gardens Alcohol Team works closely with GPs, social workers as well as other providers. The current programme includes various creative groups as well as: relapse prevention, monthly follow-up groups, stress management, assertiveness training, women’s drop-in, acupuncture and yoga.
Referral to the Wolverton Gardens Alcohol Team is via the Community Assessment and Primary Services (CAPS) Tel: 0207 381 7766. Alternatively GPs can refer directly on 0208 8467870. Women can drop in on Thursday 1.30- 4pm for an assessment during the Women Only Afternoon.
