CNWL has been awarded the Silver Standard for Investors in People (IIP) for Brent Mental Health Service (BMHS) placing them in a small minority of companies in the country who hold this prestigious award.

Investor in People is a nationally recognised award which aims to improve the business performance of organisations as well as productivity and staff engagement. Out of 28,000 companies that have the IIP accreditation BMHS was hand picked to receive a Silver award, following the recent launch of the Gold, Silver and Bronze IIP awards celebrating organisations that deserve advanced recognition.

The silver standard was awarded after a thorough assessment covering management style, communications, supervision & appraisal and learning & development. Over 60 members of staff were interviewed as part of the assessment.

The team accepted the award at a special presentation ceremony which celebrated the achievements of London's most exceptional Investors in People accredited organisations. David Dunkley, Service Director for Brent said ‘The award is excellent news. Gold is something for us to aim for next time!’

BMHS provides mental health services for adults aged 18-64 in the borough in partnership with Brent council, and are now one of only 120 organisations in the country to hold the award.
