Julia McKee, a Health Visitor based at Westmead Clinic in Hillingdon has been presented with a Hidden Gem Award.

She was nominated for the award by a fellow staff member and two patients, who described Julia’s motivation and instinct for the nursing profession as “unquestionable”and “a brilliant mentor”.

Julia (middle) was given the surprise award by Zoe Sargent, CNWL’s Head of Children’s Services and Operations for Hillingdon and Manpareet Dhaliwal, CNWL’s Associate Director of Finance, Performance and Contracts (pictured).

Having worked as Health Visitor for approximately 19 years she is very pleased to have won.

Julia said: “The job is very demanding so it was nice to be nominated by some of my clients. You build up some very special relationships with your families depending on what is happening in their lives.”

Julia gives credit to her colleagues, and says they are the best part about her job.

“Working with a lovely team, never knowing what is going to happen day to day as every day is different. As I’m getting old I have a good knowledge base and a good network I can draw from in Hillingdon to help my families!”
