Archway Centre
is a sexual and reproductive health (GUM) clinic offering a range of free, confidential services, including contraceptive services and STI and HIV testing.

Quick Check Testing Service

Available for men and women over 18 with nothing wrong (no symptoms) who wish to have a check up for sexually transmitted infections only. Men should not urinate for one hour prior to the appointment.

Please note, you may need to re-book if

  • You have symptoms (something wrong)
  • You have been in contact with someone who has an infection
  • You need contraception.

Clinic times

Telephone to make an appointment if you have symptoms. We aim to offer you an appointment within 48 hours. Please arrive ten minutes prior to your appointment time.

Saturday 09:00-13:00 ( For those who have booked an appointment for contraception. We may have some limited walk-in times available too). 

No appointment is necessary if

  • You need emergency contraception
  • You need post-exposure prophylaxis for sexual exposure to HIV (PEPSE)
  • You have been sexually assaulted
  • You are aged under 16 years

Young person’s sexual health clinic (20 and under)

Our sexual health clinic for young people (aged 20 and under) provides a full range of sexual health and contraception services.

You don’t need to make an appointment, but spaces are limited.

Thursday 15:00-16:30

Young People aged under 16 years

You do not need an appointment and will be seen if you walk into clinic (but may have to wait).

Alcohol and Drugs support

We offer a drop in session at Archway with IDASS (the Islington Drug and Alcohol Specialist Service) on Thursdays, 3pm to 6pm, for anyone with questions or concerns about their alcohol or drug use.
