Eligibility criteria (who is the service for?)
The service is available to children aged four to school-leaving age, registered with a Milton Keynes general practitioner (GP) or attending a mainstream school in Milton Keynes and its surrounding areas.
The service does not cover special schools in the Milton Keynes area (The Redway School, White Spire School, Slated Row School, Romansfield School, Stephenson Academy and The Walnuts School), which are covered by Milton Keynes Children with Complex Needs Team instead.
The Milton Keynes enuresis support service is available to children aged seven to 16 living in Milton Keynes, attending a Milton Keynes school or who are registered with a Milton Keynes GP.
How can someone be referred?
Referral can be made through Milton Keynes schools, GP, health visitor or parent/ carer.
The service accepts referrals to the enuresis service from a relevant healthcare professional (such as a GP, health visitor or paediatrician). Parents may refer their child by contacting their school nurse team.
Can I use NHS E-Referral (formerly Choose and Book) to arrange my first outpatient appointment?
No. The service is delivered in schools so an appointment is not necessary.
Services are available during Milton Keynes schools hours (09:00–17:00, Monday to Friday). There is a reduced service during school holidays: contact the School Nursing Team based at Stantonbury Health Centre, for more information.
The School Nursing Service is split between three bases in Milton Keynes: Bletchley, Newport Pagnell and Stantonbury. Check which team covers your child’s school
