Referrals

Welcome to the Children's Integrated Therapy Service (CITS) in Hillingdon.

The Children’s Integrated Therapy Service operates an open referral system, which means that anyone can refer a child/young person to any of the therapy services.

Steps before you refer

Please note, parents/carers/professionals can get advice from the Children’s Integrated Therapy Service without needing to make a referral in the first instance, using the advice line

It is recommended that parent’s first call the advice line (01895 488 200) to get advice from a therapist and help decide next steps.

It is recommended that school staff first get advice from their link therapist or call the advice line to help decide next steps.

How to refer and next steps

There is one referral form that can be used to refer to one or more of the therapy services at the same time.

The referrer will sent an acknowledgement that the referral has been received within two days.

If a child needs to access to more than one of the therapy services then the referral will be discussed by the multi-disciplinary therapy team to decide on the next best steps to meet the child’s needs.

An initial appointment will be offered within six weeks of the service receiving the referral.

If you need support with completing the referral form then please contact the CITS advice line on 01895 488 200.

Referral can be sent to:  citsreferrals.cnwl@nhs.net
