Celebrating pride month: Meet our sexual health staff at Surrey Pride

26 June 2019

CNWL is taking part in the first ever Pride in Surrey event on Saturday 10 August 2019.

The event begins with a parade through Woking town centre at 11am and then there will be stalls and entertainment in Woking Park and on the main stage from 12pm until around 10pm. You will need a ticket to attend but its free of charge.

On stage at around 12.15pm will be CNWL’s Dr Shalini Andrews, Consultant in Surrey Sexual Health, who will talk about how effective treatment has made it possible to have great sex without fear of HIV transmission; and how to access these treatments from local services"

After this you can talk to CNWL Sexual Health in Surrey staff at their stall (a map will be on display at the park) where you can order home self-testing kits, book an appointment and find out more about local services. On the stall with CNWL are staff from The Freedoms Shop, an initiative set up by CNWL, to provide low cost branded condoms and lube delivered discreetly to your home.

Pride in Surrey wants to make sure there is “something for everybody to enjoy”.
