CNWL helps with creation of rough sleeper mental health course
13 May 2019
CNWL has helped in developing a free online training course that is launched today and is aimed at frontline outreach staff working with the Mental Health needs of rough sleepers and the unstably housed.
CNWL’s Andy Knight, Lizzie Furber, and Dan Jones from the Joint Homelessness Team are among a range of experts who provided their expertise and advice towards this online video training, which is produced by aneemo, an online training platform for health and social care professionals and volunteers.
The course is backed by the Backed by the Mayor of London's Rough Sleeping Innovation Fund, Westminster City Council and London Borough of Lambeth.
The aneemo Rough Sleeper Mental Health Awareness Course is introduced by Deputy Mayor James Murray and contains high-quality training and advice from a wide range of leading national and international experts including Sir Michael Marmot of University College London on understanding and working with the complex mental health difficulties and compound trauma experienced by homeless people.
