Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.

Keeping Well NWL and Keeping Well BLMK, hosted an online men’s health wellbeing session.

If you missed it, you can watch back the recording here.

Dr Ryan Kemp, CNWL Director of Therapies facilitates the session with a range of guests to talk about topics around health and wellbeing, discussing how learning evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help with feelings like anxiety and depression.

We heard from Shaun Hare who works at West London as a service manager within our psychological therapies service line.

Ruben Seetharamdoo, Author of 'Five Ways to Wellbeing' outlined some techniques staff can use to help themselves if they're feeling overwhelmed or finding things difficult.

Peter Helmer ran a special mindfulness session, encouraging men to attend his one-to-one free weekly groups. If you are interested, click here for more.

Matt Waugh shared how looking after your physical health is proven to have a positive impact on your overall mental health.

International Men's Day is today (19 November) where this year’s theme is making a positive difference to the lives of men and boys.

The Keeping Well hubs both have a dedicated Men’s Health self-help category with free resources to raise awareness. The service is here to help staff working in health and social care. Talk with wellbeing professionals through live chat (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm), visit:
