Introducing Jonathan Craven, our new Head of Information Governance
27 November 2019
Jonathan Craven is CNWL’s new Head of Information Governance.
Information Governance (IG) at CNWL includes the appropriate legal handling of sensitive information, confidentiality, data protection, health records, and requests under the Freedom of Information Act. See our dedicated data protection page for more information.
He started work here on Monday 25 November, coming from a similar role at Croydon Council.
“I’m originally from the north of England – Chester, specifically – but relocated a couple of years ago for work.”
“I’m a psychologist by training, but have worked in IG for a number of years. I have experience across the public sector - the NHS, local authority and police service - so I’m well-versed in the intricacies and demands of working in the public sector.”
“CNWL struck me as a forward-thinking organisation with an appetite for change and development, and in a fast moving and changing IG environment, I’m looking forward to raising its profile.”
Jonathan lives in West Sussex. He’s an avid musician, playing the guitar in a number of bands, as well as going to gigs.
“I also regularly play and watch football – I’ve been a Manchester United season ticket holder for a long time, but don’t get to as many games as I’d like to now, for obvious reasons!”
