CNWL is pleased to announce that Mark Marfo has been appointed as the Deputy Borough Director for our mental health services in Hillingdon. He will formally start on Monday 12 September and will continue to remain in his interim position which he has been in for several months.

Mark says: “The role is certainly a challenging one but I’m looking forward to it. I have enjoyed working in the Hillingdon mental health service over the past few months, and the support from staff within and afar has been immeasurable. I am here to support Borough and Clinical Directors and the team to offer effective and efficient mental health services in Hillingdon.”

Mark is a skilled and experienced mental health nurse, with significant inpatient and acute experience. He has been with CNWL for almost 18 years, having started at the Brent Home Treatment Team, moving on to become Head of Patient Flow at the Urgent Care Service in Westminster, and then becoming the Interim Deputy Borough Director in May 2022.

He will be working in CNWL’s biggest Division, Goodall, alongside Borough Director Alastair Penman, Dr Mellisha Padayatchi as Clinical Director and Bertha Matunge as Assistant Director of Nursing.

Alastair says: “Congratulations and well done to Mark on your appointment. We worked you hard and you delivered the goods. I know Mark relishes more exposure and work in our wider portfolio to include IAPT, older adults and community services.”
