Trust joins NHS delegation to China
CNWL is joining a delegation of NHS Trusts to China organised by the Department of Health and Healthcare UK.
Healthcare UK, “help UK healthcare providers to do more business overseas ….. by promoting the UK healthcare sector to overseas markets and supporting healthcare partnerships between the UK and overseas healthcare providers. Healthcare UK is part of the Department of Health and the UK Trade & Investment.” You can read more on Healthcare UK's website.
Claire Murdoch, Chief Executive, and Dr Con Kelly, Medical Director, will visit a number of cities from Saturday 16 January to Saturday 23 January.
Healthcare UK are sponsoring the cost of Claire Murdoch’s visit, while income generated from international work will cover the cost of Dr Kelly.
Claire Murdoch said: “This is a week-long working event and I’m looking forward to meeting fellow health professionals in China to discuss how they do things and how we might help. We’re building links and looking for business opportunities for the NHS. We’re already involved in training clinicians from China and may bring other commercial opportunities. We’ll showcase the NHS and why we’re so proud of it. It’s often forgotten that the NHS is a very efficient and cost effective system and that’s very attractive abroad. I’m sure I’ll learn a lot from my colleagues in China too.”
We have produced a brochure about the Trust to be used in China, in English and Mandarin.
