Meet the team
Dr John Lowe, Director of Education
Dr Lowe is Consultant Psychiatrist and Director of Education. He has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and delivery of postgraduate, undergraduate, Medical and Dental Education across the Trust in both Local and Lead Provider capacity.
Dr Haido Vlachos, Deputy Director of Medical Education (Milton Keynes)
Dr Vlachos is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and is the lead for CNWL Medical and Dental Education strategy in Milton Keynes, responsible for trainee posts mapping to Health Education Thames Valley (HETV). She is also leading on developing inter-professional learning opportunities locally.
Dr Angela Robinson, Deputy Director of Education (Camden, Sexual Health & HIV)
Dr Robinson is a Consultant Genito-Urinary Physician and is the lead for Medical Education strategy for CNWL Medical Specialties.
Dr Sukh Bahia, Deputy Director of Medical Education (Jameson Division) and Educational Lead for Core Psychiatry North West London
Dr Bahia is a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist and is the lead for CNWL
Medical Education Strategy in Jameson Division with particular responsibility for Brent, Harrow and Hillingdon. He also has lead responsibility for the management of the North West London Core Psychiatry training programme including St Mary’s and Charing Cross Schemes.
Tony Douglas, Head of Business Management, Education
Tony is responsible for operational, business and quality management for CNWL postgraduate and undergraduate training for Mental Health including operational responsibilities as Lead Provider for Higher training in Older Adults/Adult Psychiatry training and Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability.
Layth Humsi, Head of Medical Education (acting) Medical Educcation Contracts Manager
Layth is responsible for the operational management of postgraduate and undergraduate medical training both in Psychiatry and the medical specialties within CNWL. He works closely with the DME and Deputy DMEs to take forward CNWL’s medical education strategy. Layth is lead for quality assurance reporting for Medical Education and also operational lead for SASG doctors CPD working closely with the SASG tutor for CNWL.
Marie Jayakody, Medical Education Manager
Marie is responsible for the operational management of the training programmes and the Postgraduate medical educational department of the Trust and the effective management of the study leave budgets for the doctors in training within the Trust and all higher trainees in North West Thames.
Richard Cox, Education Programmes Manager
Richard is responsible for managing the Psychiatry education programmes including the Core Regional training (MRCPsych) course, AC Section12 course, and Educational Supervisors forum. Richard also provides support to a variety of educational working groups, and co-ordinates local inductions at St Charles and South Kensington & Chelsea.
Kavita Kapoor, Personal Assistant to Director of Education
Kavita is Personal Assistant to the Director of Education and Head of Business Management. Kavita holds sole responsibility for the day-to-day running and management of diaries and the organisation of Executive/Board meetings, distributing minutes and preparing agenda items. She is also an active member of the Post Graduate Medical Education Team assisting with additional project work and events. Kavita also is editor and coordinates the quarterly Post Graduate Medical Education Newsletter.
Jo Jenkins, Medical Education Administrator
Jo provides Medical Education administrative support to CNWL trainees based in Milton Keynes. Jo organises local inductions, supports the acting Deputy Director of Medical Education and is the main point of contact for trainees in Milton Keynes.
Shenoah Taylor, Postgraduate Coordinator & Induction Lead
Shenoah Manages and Coordinates the Junior Doctors Induction programme and the Trust Grand Round events. Shenoah also provides administrative support cover in the Postgraduate Medical Education office.
Louisa Tsang, Postgraduate Medical Education Administrator
Louisa provides administrative support cover in the Postgraduate Medical Education office and provides support to the Camden Junior Doctors Induction Programme every six months. Louisa coordinates the Trainee Forum and also supports the Head of Medical Education and the Specialty and Associated Specialty Grade Doctors (SaDGs).
Bunmi Babalola, Postgraduate Medical Education Administrator
Bunmi provides administrative support in the Postgraduate Medical Education office. She also supports the Foundation School Psychiatry Training Programme Director and is involved in the Junior Doctors Induction programme.
Marco Isetta, Library and Knowledge Services Manager
Marco is responsible for planning and coordinating the delivery of Library and Knowledge professional team, access points, resources and evidence support services for all CNWL staff, trainees and placement students; and ensuring that access to the evidence base that underpins the Trust’s quality care agenda is clearly signposted and promoted through all corporate communication channels.
Ziba Nadimi, Outreach Librarian
Ziba is the named outreach librarian for the Diggory division. She is responsible for promoting and facilitating access to library and knowledge services and resources. She is an experienced information skills trainer, and runs a range on workshop on ‘searching for evidence’ and ‘critically appraising the evidence. She also carries out mediated literature searches in support of practice, service development, audit, personal studies and CPD. Ziba also produces literature alerts and bulletins to keep Diggory staff up-to-date with the latest evidence.
Joelle, Kirby, Outreach Librarian
Joelle helps staff within the Goodall division access the library and knowledge services they need to facilitate evidence-based practice. She enjoys teaching how to effectively find and appraise research. She also conducts searches on behalf of others as part of the library's free literature search service. Other interests include patient information and exploring ways to keep staff up to date with evidence via the creation of alerts and evidence summaries.
Michael Taylor, St Charles Librarian
Mike works at the Library and Knowledge Hub at St Charles’ Hospital; one of his main roles is providing copies of requested articles for staff and students across the Trust. He also provides speedy literature searches.
