The service provides assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and advice to help reduce the risk of further falls.

Therapists visit patients at home and complete a falls assessment. Following this, the patient may receive therapy and equipment provision in their home, may be referred to a medical clinic, and/or be referred to an appropriate exercise programme.

Therapy/rehabilitation focuses on:

  • improving balance, strength and confidence when carrying out normal daily activities
  • the provision of appropriate walking aids
  • safety within the home, including the provision of aids or adaptive equipment
