We work with an individual and their carer to make decisions about the best way to reduce the risk of the person falling, raise awareness of risk factors for falling and make any necessary changes to their home to prevent falls.

We are part of the Milton Keynes Intermediate Care Service and work in partnership with social services and other primary care services such as district nurses, general practitioners (GPs), South Central Ambulance Service, Community Alarm Service, Age UK Milton Keynes and Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, therapy assistants, management and administrative staff.

Community based falls prevention service

In addition there is a community-based falls prevention service (B-Well) that offers assessment, treatment and advice to people at risk of falling or those who have fallen.  All referrals are made to single point of access which is hosted by B-Well Therapy.  Staying Steady Milton Keynes will provide assessment and intervention to those people that require specialist support based on their referral information. Exercise classes are available to reduce the risk of falling and are delivered by either B-Well or by Staying Steady MK.
