Westminster CAMHS provides community mental health services to children, young people and their families with complex mental health difficulties, in a range of different ways depending on their needs.
Our psychologists, psychiatrists, and therapists provide assessment and treatment packages for children and young people and their families. Treatment may include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), family therapy, play therapy, individual and group psychotherapy. Medication is also used when appropriate and carefully monitored by the doctors.
CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services) is for children and young people aged 0-18.
We help them and their families with emotional, relationship and behavioural difficulties when they are finding it hard to cope with family life, school or the wider world.
Your general practitioner (GP), teacher or someone who is concerned about your emotional wellbeing will contact CAMHS to ask them to see you.
