Work with us

Staff who work here have described offender health care as both stimulating and rewarding, with many people citing it as ‘the best place they have ever worked.

Lesley Halford, Regional Operational Manager (IRC Heathrow and Specialist Forensic Services), explains;
"Our motto is 'caring, not judging,' meaning that all patients are treated compassionately, and as individuals. If you’re someone who believes in this ethos, and wants to work somewhere where you can really make a difference to someone’s life, then this is the career for you. We look for people with the right balance of sensitivity and resilience, and we fully support their professional development.”

We believe that having high quality staff enables us to provide high quality services. Our teams need to have a wide range of skills and knowledge and we actively encourage the many opportunities to train and learn as part of your personal and professional development and career. We offer careers coaching and mentoring such as a dedicated scheme for developing diverse leaders and an ‘NHS Leadership Academy.’
