QI projects

One month since the launch of the Trust’s QI Programme, there are now

42 QI projects being run by staff in CNWL

Staff have generated their own projects ideas, developed a project team with their colleagues and run these projects in their services. They are using the ‘Model for Improvement’ to apply change ideas to improve process and outcomes. (If the link does not work for you, or you’re based in Surrey please use this link).

If you have an idea for a QI project and are not sure how to get started, refer to the help and support section below for contact information.

If you are ready to run a project and need support to get started you can attend a QI Clinic. Dates have been set for 2018. Dates and details of how to book on training events can be found on the Training and Events page.

Life QI-There are 107 staff registered on Life QI

Life QI is our online platform for QI projects. Using Life QI you can look at improvement projects and ideas in other parts of CNWL on the “My Organisation” section. By selecting “All” you can browse QI projects happening in other organisations across the Life QI platform.

These training sessions introduce the Model for Improvement and show you how Life QI can support you to develop your project.

103 staff members have signed up to IHI Open School and are starting to learn about QI

  • IHI Open School is available to any staff member in the Trust
  • IHI Open School offers online training for you to develop your skills to run a QI project and to be part of a project team
  • It takes between 60 and 80 minutes to complete each module and you will receive a certificate at the end of each module. Each module is broken down into three sections so you can start and come back to each module as you work. Completion of approximately eight hours on online training provides a certificate of training in QI methodology
  • More in-depth face to face training will be available from early 2018

For more information on the IHI Open School and how to access the training (including the passcode) please visit the Online QI training page.
