CNWL held its Quality Improvement Celebration 2024 Celebration on 25 November, bringing together teams from across the Trust to share the progress and impact of their improvement work this year.
The event gave teams the chance to share their work and reflect on what they have achieved this year.
The day began with a registration activity using the Zones of Regulation, followed by a welcome and overview of the day. Kim Cox, Divisional Nursing Director, spoke about the impact of the Collaborative and how far teams have progressed since the start of the programme.
Teams then took part in several sessions, including:
-
Presentations from the Enhanced Observation Team and the Getting to Know Me Card project
-
A forcefield analysis exercise supported by the QI team
-
The Bonfire of Failures / Snowflake of Reflections, where teams discussed what worked well and what they learned
-
Reflections from Experts by Experience, led by Lucy Palmer, Head of Patient and Carer Involvement
After lunch, teams joined the Shift and Share poster session, where each project presented their poster and shared learning with colleagues. Staff also voted for the Peer Award.
The afternoon included a session on sustaining improvements, followed by the Improvement Academy Awards, where all teams received certificates and recognition for their contribution. The event ended with reflections from Kim Cox and Alison Butler, Director of Improvement and a short evaluation.
Thank you to all staff, facilitators and presenters for their hard work and commitment. The day showed the strength of improvement work across CNWL and the positive difference it continues to make for patients and services.
