CNWL’s Improvement Academy continues to reach international levels following a visit from aspiring Chief Quality Officers in March.

A total of nine senior leaders from Canada, Brazil, Jordan and Australia visited us to hear about our Improvement Academy and how we have embedded and sustained improvement across the organisation.

Their visit formed part of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Chief Quality Officer Professional Development Programme, which aims to share best practice by building peer connections across organisations.

We hosted an in-person visit after presenting at the programme last year, and the delegates were particularly interested in how we have created a culture of improvement, our expert by experience involvement, and how our we have adapted and matured over the last six years.

Alison Butler, Director of Improvement said:

“We were really proud to share the progress of the Improvement Academy with international senior leaders. The visit was an opportunity to support other leaders on their own improvement journey and affirmed just how far we have come at CNWL.”
