CNWL is proud to announce that it has appointed Dr Christopher Whiteley as its new Chief Psychologist. Dr Whiteley will replace Dr John Green, who will continue in his role as Clinical Director of the Grenfell Health & Wellbeing Service. Dr Whiteley has been deputy head of psychology at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust for the past five years. Before that he was deputy programme director in Clinical Psychology training at the University of East London. In his new role Dr Whiteley will professionally lead all the Trust’s psychologists and IAPT staff, as well as holding a leadership role in Jameson Division.

Director of Therapies Dr Ryan Kemp commented: “We are delighted to have appointed an inspirational psychologist with a wealth of clinical and leadership experience. The Trust employs around 700 psychologists and IAPT staff and expect this workforce to grow substantially in the next 10 years as the NHS long-term plan is made a reality. We are very confident we have found the ideal individual to lead our staff through this period”.

Dr Whiteley starts in June 2020.
