Single Point of Access

  • For London Boroughs, phone us on 0800 0234 650, and for Milton Keynes phone us on 01908 724365 if you need help in a mental health crisis, 24/7. You can also email cnw-tr.spa@nhs.net Both London and Milton Keynes telephone numbers are Freephone numbers. We also take calls from 111.
  • Our Single Point of Access is a Mental Health Crisis Line which offers emotional support and advice to people who require urgent mental health attention, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is open to children and adults of all ages, to people who haven’t previously used mental health services and to carers and family members who might be concerned about someone.
  • If you or the person you are calling about are someone who is already receiving care from one of our mental health teams between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday to Friday we encourage you to call the mental health team that looks after you. 
  • You can also call NHS 111. If you are experiencing something that makes you feel unsafe, distressed, or worried about your mental health, you can also contact your local crisis service by calling NHS 111 and selecting the mental health option. This is an additional way to contact crisis services, and does not replace the Trust’s Mental Health Crisis Line You can read more about NHS 111 on this page

People in North West London experiencing a mental health crisis can access CNWL’s Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service on a walk-in basis, with no referral needed.

If you want to speak to someone who is not a clinician, ask the mental health team looking after you or call our SPA for a referral to The Cove, a local community safe space opening 2-10pm every day, 7 days a week, offering 1:1 appointments in person or virtually.

Kooth is for children and young adults aged 11-25. ​​​ You can access free, safe and anonymous support through Kooth which is supported by the NHS for anyone who resides in North West London.

Other support available (Milton Keynes)

Adults can come to the crisis café if they find themselves in crisis or mental distress. They are open seven days a week from 5pm to 11pm.

Alternatively, if you live in Milton Keynes but are unable to access the Crisis Café, you can call us on 01525 722225 where we can also offer support.

Camden Integrated Community Healthcare (CICH) is made up of district nursing, nursing care, rehabilitation, self-management and enablement for people in their own homes and other community settings;  providing high-quality care to support GPs in managing often complex housebound patients to live as independently as possible. The Community Independence Service (CIS) is an intermediate person-centred service providing advanced short-term nursing care, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and social care to people with immediate health issues or needs which affects their mobility or day-to-day activities. The service aims to provide safe clinical care at home which helps people to avoid unplanned hospital admission or returning to hospital after a recent discharge. Adult Community Health Single Point of Access provides 24 hour telephone support for adult physical health services in Milton Keynes, such as district nursing, frailty and continence. You can call us on 01908801108 or email cnwl.mkchsadultspa@nhs.net Open 8.30am to 7.30pm, Monday to Friday. On weekends and bank holidays: 9.15am to 4.45pm.

Your local pharmacy is a good first point of call for medical advice if you are feeling unwell. A new Pharmacy First Service, allows community pharmacists to care for local people without the need for them to visit their general practice.
