The Epilepsy Clinic acts as a point of contact for patients with epilepsy and supports them between appointments with their neurologist, through:
- Medication changes
- Providing information and education for patients newly diagnosed with epilepsy
- Monitoring throughout pregnancy
- Providing buccal midazolam training (rescue medication for prolonged seizures).
For patients with a diagnosis of epilepsy, who are under the care of a neurologist at Hillingdon
Patients can be referred by their neurologist, GP or by their obstetrician (if they require monitoring throughout pregnancy)
The service does a combination of home visits and clinic appointments:
Monday: Oak Farm Clinic, Long Lane, Uxbridge, Hillingdon UB10 9PB 9am-4pm
Tuesday: Hesa Primary Care Centre, 52 Station Road, Hayes UB3 4DD 9am to 4pm
Friday: Uxbridge Health Centre, Chippendale Waye, Uxbridge UB8 1QJ 9am to 4pm
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, we are not open on bank holidays
Home visit are required for patients who are unable to make the clinics.
