The service delivers a combined health visiting and school nursing service for 0-19 year olds in Milton Keynes.

Milton Keynes 0-5 Health Visiting Service

The Milton Keynes Health Visiting Service promotes the health and wellbeing of families with children under five.

You do not need a referral to access the service.

The service operates from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, except bank holidays, but there can be some flexibility by negotiation with the health visitor.

The service has 16 health visiting teams in Milton Keynes, most of which are based at general practitioner (GP) surgeries. Staff at surgeries will be able to provide more information about their contact details, availability and the drop-in sessions offered.

Milton Keynes 5-19 School Nursing Service

Milton Keynes School Nursing Team Service provides specialist nursing care, advice and support to school-age children and young people aged 5-19.

The service is available to children aged four to school-leaving age, registered with a Milton Keynes general practitioner (GP) or attending a mainstream school in Milton Keynes and its surrounding areas.

The service does not cover special schools in the Milton Keynes area (The Redway School, White Spire School, Slated Row School, Romansfield School, Stephenson Academy and The Walnuts School), which are covered by Milton Keynes Children with Complex Needs Team instead.

The Milton Keynes enuresis support service is available to children aged seven to 16 living in Milton Keynes, attending a Milton Keynes school or who are registered with a Milton Keynes GP.

Referral can be made through Milton Keynes schools, GP, health visitor or parent/ carer.

The service accepts referrals to the enuresis service from a relevant healthcare professional (such as a GP, health visitor or paediatrician). Parents may refer their child by contacting their school nurse team.

Services are available during Milton Keynes schools hours (09:00–17:00, Monday to Friday). There is a reduced service during school holidays: contact the School Nursing Team based at Stantonbury Health Centre, for more information.
