For the summer term, from April to July 2025, Arts in Health has a new partnership with Two Temple Place, an iconic cultural space on the Embankment.
In our first session, we were given a tour of ‘Lives Less Ordinary: Working-Class Britain Re-seen”, an exhibition showcasing representations of working-class life in a variety of forms and media. The tour also gave us many insights into the history and craftsmanship of the unique neo-Tudor building, which we will be exploring further later in the term.
For the following three weeks, Two Temple Place hosted our artist studio space. Artist Fatima Duke-Pratt led sessions to create portraits using collage and the exploration of leisure activities through painting. Photographer, Marysa Dowling, led the last session before the half term, using photography to document and explore what we do and communicate through our hand gestures.
We are looking forward to returning to Two Temple Place and creating more artwork after the half-term break!
