Westminster City Council has published the papers for the Adults and Public Health Policy and Scrutiny Committee which provides a written update on the Gordon Hospital inpatient wards and CNWL’s mental health provision for Westminster.

In March 2020, the wards at the Gordon Hospital were rapidly closed as part of CNWL’s Covid-19 response and safety.

We are pleased to announce we are working with Healthwatch Central West London to make sure our plans for mental health services in 2021 reflect the needs of the people we support.

We operate on the key principle that where possible we aim to accommodate our service users in beds closest to home. If we place patients out of area, we will support them on discharge, and if going on leave, if they need to travel back to their homes or area of residence. We will also support families to visit if needed.
