It’s been one year since the Milton Keynes Integrated Discharge Hub, a partnership between Milton Keynes University Hospital, City Council, and CNWL launched to provide faster, better-supported hospital discharges, reducing stay times for complex cases.

Nicola, Deputy Director for Kensington & Chelsea, was the first senior leader to champion the Volunteer to Career programme by co-creating the St Charles mental health ward role in 2022. Since then, 46 volunteers have filled the role, with 35 moving into NHS employment. Three years later, we catch up with Nicola to hear her story.
