One of our members of staff was among the 4,000 spectators able to gain tickets to watch the FA Cup Semi Final match at Wembley Stadium yesterday (Sunday, 18 April) between Leicester City FC and Southampton FC.

The match was one of a number of pilot events starting this month as part of the phased return of fans to stadiums.

Tickets were restricted to Brent Council staff, Brent and NWL NHS and care staff, local school teachers and pupils over 18, Wembley Park residents and business and the local voluntary sector.

Senior Staff Nurse Jade Kelly emailed saying: “James and I wanted to say a big thank you to CNWL and the NHS for our tickets to the FA Cup Semi-Final at Wembley Stadium this weekend.

“This was part of a pilot to get crowds back to large events so all necessary precautions were in place, which made us feel very safe. It was amazing to be out doing something normal!”

Leicester won the match 1-0.
