CNWL welcomes Charlotte Bailey

13 January 2020

We have appointed Charlotte Bailey (pictured) as our Executive Director of Organisational Development and People.

Charlotte joins us from Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust where she is Executive Director of Strategy, Partnerships and People.

Charlotte has worked in the public sector for over 20 years, in both local Government and the NHS as an operational, corporate and commissioning lead.

Charlotte began her career in psychology working with children and young people with mental health conditions, and went on to lead one of the UK’s biggest Early Intervention Services, so has a great grounding in operational services.

Charlotte has led major change programmes including redesigning and implementing integrated, place-based teams and new care models in health, leading public service reform and comes with a track record of transforming services and supporting cultural change.

Charlotte has a passion for inclusion, patient-led services and clinically-led care and that’s at the heart of her style. Which is exactly the culture we embrace at CNWL.

Charlotte says; “I was thrilled to be offered the post at CNWL. They are innovative, values driven and have moved to an integrated community approach which is everything I believe in. I am really looking forward to working with the team and partners and play a role in maturing and enhancing services to local people.”

Outside of work Charlotte is a keen runner and often galvanises team runs for charity. She loves the great outdoors - walking, travel and music festivals. She has two teenage daughters and enjoys spending time with them and her family.

Claire Murdoch, Chief Executive, said; “Welcome Charlotte! Our staff - and their working environment - is the engine room of everything we do and great patient care depends on them.

“That means having a skilled and compassionate workforce but also CNWL family-values; making life at work as good as it can be, developing careers, skills and new roles that also understands family life (why flexible working is in so much demand), values diversity and also attracts the best people to work here; what the CNWL family wants to be known for. Charlotte’s experience, passion and commitment make her ideal for this role. I’m so pleased she has accepted our offer.”
