This report was commissioned by Health Education England as part of the new roles in mental health programme of work. This work is included in the 2019/2020 HEE Mandate: ‘supporting the delivery and expansion of innovative, recently created roles in mental health by implementation of agreed priority workstreams which have been identified as having the greatest impact in mental health services in transforming the workforce.’
