Hypo Hounds is a diabetic alert assistance dog charity, and they train dogs to detect and alert to the dangerous changes their Type 1 Diabetic owner’s blood sugars.

Hypo Hounds services are focused on children, and by alerting their owners or their families to these changes in blood sugars, they can help to prevent potentially life-threatening hypoglycaemic attacks.

Hillingdon Community Diabetes Service has organised a charity walk in aid of Hypo Hounds, which will be taking place at Virginia Water Lake on Saturday 2 March 2024.

All proceeds will go towards sponsoring puppies who can be trained and go live with a young child with Type 1 Diabetes.
