Join Cate Latto and the One Community Radio family today at 1pm as we dedicate today's show to National Autism Awareness Week.

On today’s show there will be an educational and heartfelt discussion on how we all can provide better support and show more understanding to people who are autistic with the language we use. Joining us for the discussion is Andrew Carpenter, Autism Lead for Adult Social Care – Bi-borough (Westminster City council and Royal borough of Kensington and Chelsea), CNWL’s Sarah Blainey, Principal Clinical Psychologist and Autism Specialist, and Councillor Cem Kemahli, Lead Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Colleen Simon from the Dual Diagnosis Team will be leading the recovery slot this week with Raymond O’Brein from Turning Point. They’ll be discussing Turning Point’s Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Women’s Service (DAWS) and how they help women in Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham and Westminster.

As always, our fantastic regular guests will be joining in, Evvy Miller reading Life of Pi, Laura Cavill our Poet Laureate with her own composition and writer Stewart Permutt will be reading a poem of his choice.
