STI Awareness Day highlights the importance of sexual health, early testing and open conversations - free from stigma or judgement.
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are common and many people who have one don’t experience symptoms. Regular testing helps people stay well, access treatment early and protect their partners.
Why awareness matters
-
STIs don’t always cause symptoms
-
Early testing leads to effective treatment
-
Stigma can prevent people from seeking help
-
Sexual health is part of overall health and wellbeing
Looking after your sexual health is a normal and responsible form of self-care.
