Who you gonna call? Myth busters!
In collaboration with Video Reporter Network Winkball, CNWL has developed a Covid-19 ‘myth buster’ video aimed at younger adults who have concerns about the vaccination.
Watch the video using the QR code below.
The video is a simulated scenario, following a conversation with a group of young people who ask questions about vaccine development, how it is tested, the effectiveness and safety as well as how the vaccine works. The questions relate to genuine myths that have been circulating on social media about the Covid-19 vaccine, including false claims about ingredients and side-effects. Throughout the piece, two CNWL colleagues (Advanced Specialist Pharmacist Hazera Chowdhury and Clinical Lead Samantha Cliffe) directly address these questions, provide facts about the vaccine and dispel any misinformation.
They also signpost people to information and encourage young people to have the Covid-19 vaccine. Sharing this information in a video format aims to engage with younger audiences in an emotive and personalised manner, and is part of a wider project led by Deputy Chief Pharmacist Anshu Rayan and CNWL’s Pharmacy Department.
The video is linked to a QR (Quick Response) barcode, which can be accessed using a smartphone camera. The versatility of the barcode means it can be attached to a range of materials including medicines packaging, posters and information leaflets. With young people using mobile devices more than ever before, it is a quick and convenient way to share this information amongst a tech-savvy cohort.
