Work newsletters are useful, helpful, and informative; that’s why they’re important to read. Ten months ago when Brent CAMHS embarked on their own journey to create a newsletter for staff, they made sure to include those qualities.

However, the team included a few more ingredients: jokes, art and raising awareness of bring your favourite bag of crisps to work day – this newsletter is one you’ll definitely want to sign up to.

Brent CAMHS Service Manager, Rumyana Nenova, came up with the idea to start a newsletter that would bring staff together, be engaging so the team are up-to-date with the latest news from the service, and spread joy by sharing happy stories from within the team.

The newsletter has three sections: service updates, where the team is given the latest news from the service; staff appreciation, a section that celebrates staff for all their hard work; and in other news, a light-hearted section that shares fun activities and updates.

Mariella Nikolova, Child Wellbeing Practitioner and Ellis Brooks are the editors of the newsletter, each month they create an edition that has a personal and heartfelt touch.

This month's newsletter they raise awareness of new workshops being held to support patients while they wait to begin treatment. Bobbie is their star of the month, and there is a touching tribute that says, "Bobbie you give your all for our service and the young people in your care. We are humbled and proud to have you in Brent CAMHS." And in other news, the team are having a bring your favourite bag of crisps to work day, plus the sunflowers they planted have fully blossomed.
