On Tuesday 1 December 2020, we hosted the first ever virtual Therapies Conference for our staff.
The theme for this year is Supporting those with Long Term conditions, where we welcomed our AHPs, psychologists and psychotherapists to explore areas of physical and mental health related long-term conditions that they are less familiar with in an attempt to develop and deliver integrated care across multiple conditions.
Attendees had an opportunity to listen to our key speaker Dr Helen Sinclair, Lead Psychologist for HIV and Sexual Health who will be speaking about ‘compassion focussed care with long-term conditions’, and watched 11 fascinating presentations covering a breadth of topics within the domain long-term conditions.
This year, we also held an awards ceremony to recognise the exceptional work of our colleagues. The winners and runner ups were announced at the conference by our Director of Therapies, Ryan Kemp, across the following five categories.
- Allied Health Professional (AHP) Therapist of the Year
