Today CNWL welcomes new staff who’ve joined us in our new addictions service in Milton Keynes, where we will be providing help and support for anyone struggling with drugs, alcohol or gambling.

The service will continue to be run from Farthing Grove but with some services provided by the charity We Are With You.

It adds to CNWL’s range of community, mental health and offender care services in Milton Keynes and builds on CNWL’s expertise in community addictions services from whom the service will be able to draw on for support.

It also means that it will be able to draw on more specialist help from services like the National Problem Gambling Clinic and the National Centre for Behavioural Addictions.

CNWL Chief Executive Claire Murdoch said: “I’m really pleased to welcome the staff at ARC Milton Keynes. These services are exceptionally important and that was before the Public Health Emergency around Covid 19 started.

“We’re working to develop much more integrated working, with our partners across the whole system and this service is an important piece of that jig saw!

“You’ll be using your expertise to help some of the most vulnerable people in society.

“I’m pleased we will be working together and I look forward to meeting you.”
