CNWL has been awarded the Ministry of Defence’s Silver Award under the Employer Recognition Scheme, celebrating our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.
Chief People Officer, Nick Green, and Annabel Butcher, Head of People, Projects and Strategy, attended the recent awards ceremony at the Royal Air Force Club, where CNWL was recognised alongside 21 other organisations.
During the awards ceremony, each organisation was thoughtfully paired with a song that reflected their business function. CNWL’s song was ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay.
As part of our efforts to achieve the Silver Award, CNWL has strengthened our Special Leave Policy where Reservists and cadet forces are now entitled to special leave to attend annual training camps.
We’re also offering access to Mental Health First Aid training and Recovery College courses to cadet units, and CNWL encourages staff to declare their Armed Forces affiliation during recruitment and employment.
This Silver Award marks an important milestone in our ongoing journey.
