Jeff has recently joined CNWL as an Employment Specialist based in the Milton Keynes IPS service following a successful recruitment campaign.

This year we have been seeking individuals looking for a new challenge, with on the job training and the opportunity to make a difference and support those with mental health needs.

He reflects on his time so far in the new role:

“It was very straightforward as well as educational.

I first saw the advert for the role on Facebook and soon after heard a radio advert. To be honest, I did not know this role existed but I was in the right place at the right time. I knew it was something that really interested me, I could see the overlap with the work I had been doing in the corporate world which helped me with the application process. Each stage of the application process was intuitive which helped with preparing for the interview, meeting the team, and getting a job offer.

I am now at the end of my second week, I have met some amazing people who are helping me learn about mental health services in CNWL and learning where I will make a big difference to my clients.”

CNWL set up its Employment Services in 2004 and has since supported thousands of people into employment across various industries. The service works closely with individuals to match them with the job they want and help them retain work in the long term.

Join Jeff and others by becoming an Employment Specialist supporting people with mental health conditions back into work. If you’re interested in learning more, visit the website here.
