CNWL’s Lesley Catterall and Denise Middleton were guests on the Multiple Sclerosis Trust’s podcast, Sex and MS.

The pair, who work at Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Clinical Specialist Nurses, appeared as experts on two episodes that answered listeners questions on sexual health.

Lesley said: “This subject is often overlooked or avoided by healthcare professionals. Up to 90 percent of people with MS experience sexual difficulties. 

“The NICE guidelines state that every person with MS should be offered the opportunity to discuss their sexual difficulties with a healthcare professional. We aim to empower our patients while respecting their individuality and diversity.

“We have worked in partnership with the MS Trust, nationally for many years to raise awareness of this hidden symptoms of MS with patients and healthcare professionals.”
