Professor Henrietta Bowden Jones OBE, is the next Vice President of the Royal Society of Medicine.
Henrietta is the founder and Clinical Lead for CNWL’s Centre for Behavioural Addictions, which covers the pioneering work on Problem Gambling and Gaming, and the expert (and vivid!) spokesperson about these conditions.
Established in 1805 as the Medical and Chirurgical (Surgery) Society, the Royal Society of Medicine has a long and rich history as a cross-specialty society sharing medical and healthcare knowledge.
Professor Roger Kirby, RSM President, said:
“I’m delighted that, with Henrietta taking on the role of Vice-President, we have such a high-calibre replacement. Henrietta has a deep connection with the RSM and is committed to our shared vision for its future.”
Dr Simon Edwards, a Medical Director, said, “Congratulations Henrietta. You are a great advocate for science and medicine, a real pioneer with your work in gambling and gaming, and an expert voice for women in science. A privilege to work with you at CNWL!”
