On Friday 15 March, Health and Justice colleagues held their fourth recruitment day for the new Oasis Restore Secure School.

The school is England's first secure academy trust to provide care and education to 12-18 year olds in the youth custody system.

In early March, staff from our Health and Justice Children and Young People service lines also facilitated an induction programme for the school.

Melissa Beaumont, Clinical Lead, spoke alongside senior leaders from the national Oasis group and the Oasis Restore team, to welcome new staff and introduce the services who will be working in partnership at the school.

Staff working across the secure school, including our healthcare team, will be attending and facilitating the training over the next eight weeks. The programme has been developed jointly between CNWL, our partners, and Oasis Restore colleagues.

This is a big step forward in the development of the new service. It will provide staff with a robust understanding of the children at the school and their needs, and equip them with skills to provide excellent care once it opens later this year.
