CNWL’s Buryfields Sexual Health Clinic in Surrey had the highest involvement of patients in the Positive Voices – the UK’s largest survey of people living with HIV.

More than 4,600 people took the survey nationwide, with nearly 300 of these coming from CNWL’s HIV service.

The Positive Voices survey was published on Thursday 18 January 2024. The survey includes patient-reported outcome data on areas including satisfaction with healthcare services, met and unmet health and care needs, wellbeing and quality of life, stigma and discrimination.

The latest survey finds that people living with HIV continue to report a high level of satisfaction with their HIV care service and treatment. However, the survey finds concerning measures of stigma, low self-esteem, anxiety and depression.

UKHSA will continue to work with partners to address the issues raised in this report in order to support the needs of people with living HIV, and also help achieve the government’s ambition to eliminate HIV transmission by 2030.

At the end of January, we’ll be sharing more information on how to get tested during HIV Testing Week (5 to 11 February). You can also book an appointment or order self-testing kits here.
