Christian Oribio, Director of Corporate Affairs

Christian joins CNWL as our new Director of Corporate Affairs in mid-July. He replaces Christine Baldwinson who has retired.

The role supports excellent corporate governance, advises the Board and senior team, and leads our legal services, promoting sound stewardship and the Nolan Principles, which set out the ethical standards for holders of public office.

He joined Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust as Trust Company Secretary in April 2018 and in July 2021 also took on the role of Associate Director of Corporate Governance at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust.

He is an Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) graduate Company Secretary and has over 15 years’ governance and business management experience in the NHS.

After working at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and NHS London, he joined Health Education England as Board Secretary and became the governance lead for the London and South East region. He previously worked internationally in the private sector and still practises as an Executive Coach, and Myers-Briggs and 360 Feedback Facilitator.

Christian says, “I’m a keen cook and love home-cooked meals with my friends and family. I’m a real outdoors person. I love gardening (though not very good at it), hiking, cycling, camping and one of my favourite places is Dartmoor – the first place we headed to after the big lockdown in 2020. My partner and I live on the London-Kent boarder; we are a two-men household, though we are thinking of getting a cat,”
