CNWL’s Arva Glazel Gallofin has been shortlisted for the NHS at 75 photography competition in the ‘Our People’ category.
Arva, who is an Urgent Community Response Practitioner at Westminster’s Community Independence Service, took the photo at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
She said: “This particular photo captured a brief moment of relief from our exhaustion and provided a happy moment for us to get through the whole shift.
“Working alone in patients' rooms, monitoring continuous positive airway pressure and hearing the sounds of machines for long hours can be exhausting and depressing. The isolation can also impact one's mental health, as there is no one to talk to.
“The photo itself explains how we get on with our long shift during the pandemic.”
