CNWL is hosting its fifth annual Domestic Abuse Conference between 9.15am and 2.30pm on Wednesday 8 December 2022.

The event will take place virtually and has been planned to coincide with the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls.

The overarching theme of the conference is The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 – what impact has it made? However, it will also explore other pertinent domestic abuse-based topics such as gender, coercive control and use of children.

An incredible panel of guest speakers includes Jess Phillips MP, Shadow Minister for Domestic Violence, Stephen Burrell, Assistant Professor of Research at Durham University, Dr Emma Katz, author of Coercive Control in Children’s and Mother’s Lives, and Ryan and Luke Hart, who will share their family’s story of coercive control and domestic homicide.

The details you’ll need to register and join the conversation can be found below. We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
