International Nurses Day is celebrated every year on 12 May to thank, recognise and celebrate our nursing workforce for their continued dedication to patients and the profession.

This year is no different. Every day, nursing colleagues use their skills and expertise to deliver excellent care and support to patients, service users and their families across the NHS, health and social care.

What also makes this year so special is that 2023 marks the NHS’s 75th anniversary.

CNWL will be joining the celebrations by hosting a virtual event for nursing staff and the nursing family on Friday 12 May at 1pm.

SERV_NURS_1820_NursesBadge_30mm (2).jpgHosted by Maria O’Brien, Chief Nurse, and CNWL’s Divisional Nursing Directors – Kim Cox, William Sakala and James Smith. They’ll discuss what makes them proud to be a nurse and the three pillars of CNWL’s Nursing Strategy

  • Commitment to Provide Holistic Care
  • Developing Nurses to Provide the Best Care
  • Pride in Who We Are

CNWL nurses will talk about their work and achievements.

Details on how to join the event can be found in the staff bulletin or on Trustnet. Let’s show our appreciation and give thanks to all of our incredible nursing colleagues.
