A diagnosis of dementia can be devastating. Given the nature of dementia, it is not surprising that many people feel hopeless and give up on themselves and their possibilities. However, what may come as a surprise, is that people and families living with the diagnosis are increasingly showing us that a good life is possible.
We have produced a booklet where you will find the accounts of individuals and their families who have found ways of living well with dementia. Although life with dementia can have its challenges, they show how it is possible to grow beyond the diagnosis and continue to live a meaningful and valued life as part of family and community.
