As an international student, fuelled by a passion to delve into the NHS's mental health services, she discovered a platform for exploration. She said…

“I wanted an opportunity where I can learn more about NHS and the mental health careers. This experience helped me recognise that a hospital setting aligns well with my career aspiration. Building meaningful relationships with patients has been a deeply moving experience. These experiences have changed me profoundly. The support from the Volunteer to Career Lead and St Charles staff solidified my career aspirations and propelled me towards a rewarding path in healthcare."

About the Volunteer to Career Programme

CNWL volunteer services oversee the Volunteer to Career programme. The VtC programme creates a pathway that empowers talented and ambitious individuals to enter careers within the NHS through volunteer work. This initiative not only benefits volunteers, exposing them to different areas of work of the Trust, but also contributes significantly to our work, enhancing patient experience and supporting staff in their jobs.
